Jamaican Flaming Rum Punch

Ingredients:

- 1 Part Dark Rum
- 1 Part Coconut Rum
- 1 Part Pineapple Juice
- 1 Part Orange Juice
- 1 Splash of Cranberry Juice
- 1 Splash of Lime Juice
- 1 Part Grenadine
- 1 Splash of Grapefruit Juice
Float 151 Bacardi Rum over the top (use lighter to ignite)
Add Slice of Lime for garnish.

I wanted to start the blog with one of my favorite drinks, with my favorite base, Rum! I am on a constant search for the perfect combination Rum cocktail. I came across this drink on YouTube when I stumbled upon a channel titled the "Fine Living Network". I watched a video from a program on that network named Bartender Wars, and this was the promoted drink. It is by far the best punch I've had.
This is a very sweet drink. The combination of the juices (especially the grenadine which is essentially cherry syrup) and the coconut rum mask the taste of the dark rum and the 151. It hides the burning sensation you would feel if you were to taste them alone. This is a great to drink to get your night started, but be careful, too many of them and it could end the party for you pretty quickly.
For the dark rum I used 92 proof Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy Rum and for the Coconut Rum I used 48 proof Malibu rum.

Side note: The Lime garnish comes in handy if you end up putting too much booze in your cocktail. If you find the drink a bit too strong, squeeze the lime juice out of your garnish onto the top of the drink until the sour counteracts the strong for the perfect sip.
